Regional Institute of e-Learning & Information Technology (RIELIT), rural extension center, having its main office in Kohima, is also a unit of DOEACC Society (An autonomous body of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India). It was established in the August, 2006 in collaboration with Nagaland Gandhi Ashram (NGA), Chuchuyimlang in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland.

        It is unique in its own way and perhaps the only of its kind in the entire region. It has the best of infrastructure of the kind that is found only in the big cities, It caters to the rural youths  who would not have had access to such a high class IT education at moderate cost. The centre is therefore hugely popular not only in the district of Mokokchung but also in the surrounding districts viz. Tuensang, Zuneboto, Wokha and Longleng.

So far, around 200 students have been trained and 80 students are undergoing training at various long and short term courses.
